Abstract:
Recent advancement in wireless communications and
electronics has enabled the development of small, low-power devices
called sensor nodes. By composing these sensor nodes into ad hoc
computational and communication infrastructure to form sensor
networks that can be used for various applications areas (e.g.
health, military, home). The project deals with simulation of the
various protocols and then implementing them on hardware modules.
Currently we are using cc1010 and cc2400 RF modules. We are aiming
at setting up a network that consists both the mote kits and chipcon
modules with the GSM unit XT55 enabled. The project also deals with
interfacing of various sensors to the RF unit. The simulation of
various protocols is done till stage II, and we are now setting up a
test bench in WEL lab and Spann Lab to test various protocols
