Title: Digital Watermarking

Abstract:

             Digital watermarking has become one of the most active research areas because of the outgrowth of digital media. Access to multimedia data as well as unauthorized copying and distributing has become easier because of internet. Digital watermarking has been proposed as a means for ownership verification, content authentication, broadcast monitoring etc. A watermark is a signal added to the digital data which can be later extracted or detected to make assertion about the data.  The techniques available for digital watermarking can be classified as spatial domain and transform domain techniques. My work essentially consists of developing wavelet based watermarking  techniques for copyright protection.
