Title:
Collaborative
signal and information processing in sensor networks
Supervisor(s):

Abstract:
Networked microsensor
technology provides opportunities for a broad spectrum of
applications. In the adhoc deployed , energy efficient sensor
nodes, one of the most challenging tasks is the extraction of
reliable and timely information from the data collected from
them.Collaborative signal and information processing (CSIP) in
distributed micro sensor networks is the emerging research area,
focussing on the development of methods and algorithms for
representing , storing and processing spatially distributed, multi
modal information.
IDSQ approach uses tracking as a
representative problem to expose the key issues for CSIP : how to
dynamically determine what needs to be sensed, who should sense, how
often the information must be communicated, and to whom.
