Title:  PHY layer of IEEE 802.16e standard.

Abstract:

The IEEE 802.16 standard (WiMAX) is a wireless MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) standard that uses OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology for wireless data transfers in a metropolitan NLOS(Non–Line of Sight) environment. The Task Group E (TGE) of this standard has been set up to suggest additions to the base standard in order to provide mobility to users. The junior thesis involves a literature survey of the development of this standard and comparisons with other competing technologies.
