Title:
Secure Mobile Banking
Supervisor(s):
Prof. U. B. Desai
Abstract:
Current
E-commerce system provides nothing more than electronic access to
the money stored in bank accounts and transactions are no more
anonymous as privacy is hampered. There is demand for transaction
techniques which allow users to transfer money without any third
party vigilance, just like hard cash. A novel technique for
Peer-to-Peer money transfer without intervention of any
authority/bank is proposed. The transactions are authorized by
digital signature and all messages are encrypted so there is no
chance of tamper by the adversary and transactions will remain
anonymous.
Money is
stored in the mobile in the form of digital notes. Each mobile user
is given a digital certificate issued from the authority (Bank) and
this certificate is used for the authentication of the transactions.
RSA encryption of size 1024 bit along with SHA-1 digital signature
is used for secure transactions.
