Retired as a faculty from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) after putting 42 years of service. The organization follows the retirement age of 60 years. However, TIFR Council offered extension for the period of 2 years. This is a kind of honor given to the academic members in the institute as an appreciation of the quality research carried out during services. Invited to join the Centre of Excellence in Nanoelectronics as a faculty after the retirement. Student working under my guidance for Ph. D. degree at IITB is selected for 2008 outstanding student researcher award by the world largest semiconductor company TSMC.
