Applications for the M. Tech. programme (Research Assistant category), Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay, are invited from eligible candidates. The candidates are required to have 1. a valid GATE score of 350 or above, 2. applied for M.Tech EE, IIT Bombay (before the due date: 30/3/07), and 3. exceptional practical abilities and experience in one or more of the following areas: Electronic circuits and instrumentation DSP, microprocessors and Embedded Systems RF circuits Power Systems and Electrical Machines Power Electronics VLSI Computer lab and System Administration Candidates with good skills in above areas will have excellent opportunities to further nurture these skills/abilities and acquire other value adding abilities within the M.Tech programme of EE, IITB. The candidates admitted to this programme will be assigned laboratory duties in an area suitable to the candidate's background. In addition, candidate will also study towards an M.Tech degree in a suitable specialization in the Dept of Electrical Engg. This M.Tech programme is for three years. Participation/awards in design contests or similar competitive events will be strongly preferred; if called for interview, the candidates are required to show the relevant documents at the time of interview for verification.
