Prof. Rao interacts closely with semiconductor industries such as Intel, IBM, Infineon, International Rectifier Corporation,IMEC, Texas Instruments etc., and has many ongoing industry sponsored projects in the area of Silicon CMOS devices. Prof. Rao’s work on fringing field effects in high-k gate dielectric MOSFETS & circuits is widely cited by the industry, while his work on Lateral Asymmetric Channel (LAC) devices has been successfully applied in reducing the sub-threshold leakage in mobile devices.
