Indian Institute of Technology Bombay

I am a research scholar at IIT Bombay working under Prof. Abhay Karandikar in the area of communication and networking technologies. I have completed my B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SVNIT, Surat.

My work deals with developing an affordable architecture for rural areas. My interest in this research area started when I was involved in a project at IIT Bombay, which dealt with developing a testbed to analyze the feasibility of providing broadband in rural areas using TV White Space. I have authored several papers that take a step in this direction. I am part of the Frugal 5G Working group (an IEEE initiative), which aims to develop a standard to develop an "Architecture for low mobility energy-efficient network for affordable broadband access."

I am also interested in learning and developing new architectures for next-generation cellular networks, with a particular interest in application of Software Defined Networking (SDN) to the wireless networks.
