(1) Figure (a) shows a half wave dipole antenna. Parameters: ƒ = 1.5 GHz, L = 0.094m, d = 0.002m, λ = 0.2m, conductor material = copper (with conductivity = 5.96 x 107 S/m)
(2) Figure (b) shows the Radiation Pattern. It is an Omni-directional Radiation Pattern which is doughnut shaped and the antenna is ideal for connecting devices that are on the same plane and to either side of each other.
(3) Figure (c) displays the current distribution.
(4) The current is maximum at the center and goes to zero at both the edges, thus making a half current wave, as shown in the figure. Red represents maximum value and blue implies zero value.
(5) Following is the S11 plot for the antenna -
