To avoid any loss of data due to connectivity and other technical issues, it is recommended that you follow the following steps in the exact given order.

1. Decide which, out of the following, is your broad research interest / specialization.
   
   1. Communication and Signal Processing (EE1)
   2. Control and Computing (EE2)
   3. Power electronics and power systems (EE3)
   4. Electronic Systems (EE5)
   5. Integrated Circuit and Systems (EE6)
   6. Solid-state devices (EE7)
2. • If you are applying for both TA/RA and TAP/RAP then you must choose project(s) pertaining to your interest from the list of available projects in the drop down menu. If you don't choose any project you will be automatically considered for TA/RA positions only.
   • If you have applied under Project Staff(PS)/Institute Staff(IS)/College Teacher(CT)/Sponsored(SW)/External(EX)/Fellowship Award(FA)/Self Financed(SF), and not under TA / RA, then you cannot select any project. You will be considered only under your applied category.
3. Please save and fill the plain text form formS.txt attached (also available at https://www.ee.iitb.ac.in/phdadmission2025/pdf_files/formS.txt ) in a suitable text editor. You can also use Microsoft Word / OpenOffice writer / notepad or other similar editors. Note that the font, font-size, and other formatting issues are not very important at this stage, as finally you need to copy this data in the interface in the next step.
   The form will require you to fill a statement of purpose (SOP). If you have already submitted an SOP in your original application, then you may submit the same here if it fits within the maximum characters limit, or submit a new SOP.
   The form will also require you to fill some courses you have done, that are relevant to your research interest. You will need to fill the grade points you scored in those courses. It is advised that you keep your relevant marksheets ready while filling the form.
4. You are now ready to fill the form in the interface at https://www.ee.iitb.ac.in/phdadmission2025/ While filling the form, please use the instructions in https://www.ee.iitb.ac.in/phdadmission2023/pdf_files/Guide_to_Form_on_Interface_S.pdf as a guide. Also please use the same data filled in the text form formS.txt in step 3 to fill this data. If you want to make changes in any item, then please first make changes in the text file and then fill the same data on the interface.
5. Please keep the filled text form safe with you. It may be needed in future in case of any issues in the submission of your online form.

Please fill the form by 22nd November 2025. No request for any extension of the deadline will be entertained.
