I am passionate about applying the subject expertise across multi-disciplinary fields and develop highly usable solutions. I have an overall 16+ years of experience that combines academic research, industry, product development, as well as independent consulting.

My primary expertise include Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine learning, and AI. I have also dabbled into statistical methods, audio processing, and video analysis. I hold a PhD in Image Processing + Computer Vision from IIT Bombay.

I have been actively involved in consulting and mentoring startups and companies in relevant areas.
At present, I am not accepting any new consulting assignments.

I am keen on academic research in the areas of Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and allied topics. I am also interested in inter-disciplinary research where my primary skills can be combined to solve completely different problems.

During my PhD, I extensively worked on Image Fusion-- where I developed new approaches to fusion of Hyperspectral Images. Additionally, I developed frameworks for quality assessment of fusion systems. I am a co-author of research monograph Hyperspectral Image Fusion which describes this work in depth.

At present, I am working in the areas of biometrics and its security. I am a researcher (post-doctoral) at Idiap Research Institute in Switzerland.

I have delivered several talks/ lectures in academic and industrial setups. I am mentoring (post-)graduate students as well.

Other than this, I am an avid traveller and ardent movie buff :-)
