Welcome,

My name is Neha Bhargava. I am a Doctoral candidate in the department of Electrical Engineering of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India. My PhD advisor is Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri

PhD Thesis:
Understanding crowd behavior is a difficult task due to its variability and complexity. The purpose of the thesis is to analyse crowd motion at various levels of granularity - Individual, Group and Collective. We proposed a unified framework for identifying the groups and the activities performed at each level. We also argue that groups form a primary entity of a crowd. The groups decides the collective nature of the crowd as well as the individual activity of its members. Based on this intuition, we proposed a complete framework for multi-target tracking, group detection and activity recognition.
