Arts 411: Principles of communication design

Communication design is a sub-discipline of design that is effectively applied in print, electronic media, motion picture, animation, packaging, signage, identity building etc to inform, persuade, instruct or appeal.

The course attempts to understand and evaluate the process of information (text and graphics) visualisation, structuring and its subsequent communication.

Studio Work

An overall understanding of above mentioned areas through related projects on composition, typograpy,  illustration techniques, story boarding, claymation, logo design and advertisement campaigns.


Documentary

This is a documentary made as a part of Arts 410 course work. I was the one of the main editor and also handled all the background scores.





















Krakatoa Eruption

This was a weakly assignment for course Arts 411 to prepare a 15 second animation clip on Krakatoa eruption. Krakatoa is a volcanic island made of lava between the islands of Java and Sumatra in Indonesia. These eruptions are the most violent eruptions in the history





















Pencil assignment

This again was a weekly assignment for course Arts 411. It was about the use of figures of speech, in the process of making graphical works. Language was being used as a tool to create a rhetoric for the communication of an idea.
