"BabyBeats": A baby wellness and hazard monitoring system
developed by the team of EE M. Tech. students won the first prize (INR 2,00,000) of Anveshan -a Design Contest & Fellowship organized by Analog Devices, Inc., at national level. The team also became one of the 3 winning teams of ERICSSON Innovation Award , all over India, 2015. Team members: Neeraj Babu C, Apurv Mittal, Riyaz Mohammed A, Anjaly T R, Vineesh V S (all 3rd year M.Tech. from EE,IITB)

3M-CII Student Innovation Challenge Award
Team of students - Neena Gilda, Sheetal Patil and Seena has won the 1st prize in 3M-CII Student Innovation Challenge Award for the project, "Ultra Sensitive, Low Cost Hand Held Explosive Detector" at Bangalore on August 08, 2014. The team worked under the guidance of Prof Ramgopal Rao and Prof Maryam Shojaei Baghini.

  • Pragati Patel, received the Young Scientist Award and Finalist for Student Paper Competition at URSI. in 2015, URSI Atlantic Radio Science Conferences (AT-RASC), Gran Canaria, Spain.

    Pragati Patel is a Ph.D student of EE department under Prof. Jayanta Mukherjee and working on "Wideband Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antennas". Recently, she has received "Young Scientist Award" for my paper "Novel S Shaped Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Wireless Communication" at Atlantic Radio Science Conference (URSI AT-RASC 2015) which is going to held in Gran Canaria, Spain, from 18-22 May 2015. The Young Scientist Awards are presented at the General Assemblies of URSI and at the URSI Atlantic Radio Science Conferences (AT-RASC) to recognize an international group of individuals who have made innovative contributions and discoveries in multidiscipline research related to electromagnetic fields and waves in Gran Canaria, Spain.   • Prof. Valipe Ramgopal Rao , received the Infosys Science Foundation Award 2013 in 2013-11-12, Infosys, India.

    The Infosys Science Foundation today announced the winners of the Infosys Prize 2013 across six categories: Engineering & Computer Science , Humanities, Life Sciences , Mathematic al Sciences , Physical Sciences and Social Sciences . The winners were recognized for their outstanding achievements and contribution s to scien tific research . T he Infosys Science Foundation also announced an increase in the prize purse by Rs . 5 Lakhs to Rs. 55 Lakhs for each category for 2013 . The prize for the Humanities category will be split equally between the two winners. The seven winners were chosen based on significant progress showcased in their chosen spheres , as well as for the impact thei r research will have on the specific field . In addition to the prize purse, each category award includes a gold medallio n and a citation certif icate . The winners of the Infosys Prize 2013 were evaluated by a panel of jurors comprising eminent scientists and professors from around the world. The jury chairs of the six categories are: Prof. Pradeep K. Khosla , Engineering & Computer Science; Prof. Amartya Sen , Humanities; Dr. Inder Verma , Life Sciences ; Prof. Srinivasa S. R. Varadhan , Mathematical Sciences; Prof. Shrinivas Kulkarni , Physical Sciences; and Dr. Kaushik Basu , Social Sciences.
