I have done my bachelor&#8217;s at NIT Hamirpur. I received my Ph.D. in 2017 under the guidance of Prof. Bhasakaran Muralidharan and Prof. Ashwin Tulapurkar. I joined the direct Ph.D. program of the Electrical department of IITB just after my graduation without much scientific exposure. The flexible academic program, along with very approachable faculties of the department, facilitated me to explore various possible research directions. This helped me immensely to choose my Ph.D. research topic. In terms of facilities like lab space, computation facilities, and scientific research instruments, the Electrical department is on par with any top institute of the world. The most unique and valuable part of my Ph.D. was the overall environment of the department and research enthusiasts co-PhD, under-grad students. In their leisure time, many of the lab fellows broke up fascinating scientific discussions, which helped in its own way to broaden the scientific horizon of my perception and sometimes translated to tangible research outputs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The electrical department is truly a student-oriented department that caters to the best academic course aligned with contemporary research and industrial requirements and arranges special classes such as scientific writing and presentation for the overall development of students. The additional travel grant by the Electrical department and institute conference grant helped me attend two international conferences, which gave a good sense of the global academic community&#8217;s scientific outlook. The course work and Ph.D. research training of the Electrical department is more than good enough for anyone to crack attractive industrial well as academic job positions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In short, I can confidently say, &#8220;the Electrical department of IIT Bombay is an amazing and unmissed destination for Ph.D. aspirants&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am Abhishek Sharma.
