The Computer Lab (popularly known as the PC Lab) is situated on the first floor of the old building of the Electrical Engineering department. The laboratory is the chief computer center of the department where many undergraduate and post-graduate laboratory courses are held. It has number of computers with Windows® as well as Linux. Apart from this, it also houses the various servers and is chiefly responsible for the maintenance networking and mailing facilities of the department. While one of the servers operate on Sun Solaris, the other servers are powered by Linux.
PC Lab also provides printing and scanning facility for the convenience of students. This includes both B/W as well as colour printouts.
Bhairav is the main departmental mail server. Sandesh is the student mail server. Mail is sent on both by postfix.
Mails can be accessed through any IMAP client or via webmail. On Sharada, pine
can also be used.

Proxy services are provided for faculty through Bhairav. Students can use netmon as their proxy server.
Logins for students is given on Sharada. Sharada is not a single machine but a cluster of servers.
Students are given storage space of 150 MB on Sharada. Phd students are alloted 300MB.
Besides this students also get an inbox space of 120MB
