- Four dogs have been sterilized recently (all at Dr. Hemant Thanga's clinic, Thane). A letter is being sent to DD (AIA) about a standing approval for expenses incurred for sterlization, vaccination and other such activities.
- Soon NSS students will be allotted activities like updating/completing the database of campus dogs, and of maintaining the website.
- An awareness session is being planned where the campus residents will be briefed about the laws regarding animals.
- Dr. Inamdar has requested Dr. Patil of PHO to also attend these meetings, or nominate a suitable person from PHO to attend the committee meetings.
- Dr. Chandiramani will explore use of the discarded tum-tums (beside H8) for use as post-operation care center for dogs.
- The next meeting will be on 15th Sept, in Civil Engg, ground floor, EM lab. Meeting will begin at 7pm.
