Workshop on Mutt

All are invited to the hands-on workshop on terminal-based FAST emailer called mutt.

Please download the following on your linux PC/laptop:

Open this file using

$ mutt -f sample-mailbox-mbox-debian

Mutt is a terminal emailer which is extremely fast for

• usage (due to keyboard shortcuts). Once mastered, this will make one very fast.
• customizing for our preferences
• searching w.r.t. various criteria
• sorting based on email-size/sender/date/subject/etc
• opens up very quickly (especially after configuring with "notmuch")
• mass-emailing with customized content (w.r.t. csv file emails/names, etc). mutt allows calling from within bash scripts with customized attachments too.

More advantages

Those who are pine-users will find it easiest to shift to mutt. But all other heavy email-users are also welcome to benefit from this workshop.

Please install mutt, sendmail, ssmtp by installing on your Linux machine. There is also mutt on MS-windows. We will put details in the website below. Please install "notmuch" too (for advanced usage, we will show demo.)
