EQUIPMENTS:
- HV test transformer
- Measuring capacitor
- Coupling capacitor
- DGM DC Voltmeter
- DTM Partial discharge meter
- AKV Coupling quadripole
- PDG pulse generator
- Discharge rod
- HV flexible connector
- Series filter
- Electronic grounding switch
- Electrode
- Silicon diode rectifier
- Measuring resistor
- Floor pedestal
- Connecting cup
- Connecting rod
- Spacer tube
- Insulating rod
ELECTRODE CONFIGURATION
- Point-plane gap
- Sphere gap
- Rod-sphere gap
PROCEDURE:
- Connect the circuit according to the connection diagram.
- Check earthing properly before starting the experiment.
- Run 1: Determine the correction factor of the circuit as mentioned before.
- Run 2: Choose point-plane electrode configuration with 10 mm. gap distance and perform the experiment. Note down the reading shown on DGM DC voltmeter.
- Run 3: Now invert both the diode and repeat Run 1.
- Run 4: Similarly, choose other electrode configuration and repeat Run 2 and Run 3.
