Transportation from the Mumbai Airport
Mumbai's airport (Airport Code: BOM) is called Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA). There are two terminals namely Domestic and International.

The most convenient way to reach the conference venue, as well as nearby hotels, is by a taxi. All airport terminals have prominent taxi counters, where government-operated taxis, as well as private fleet taxis can be rented. Reputable private fleet taxi companies include Meru, Tab cabs, and Mega cabs. Government operated air-conditioned taxis "coolcabs" can also be rented from airport terminals.

You can go to any of the above taxi counters, and ask for a pre-paid taxi to your destination. If you are going straight to the conference venue, you can ask for "IIT at Powai". If you are going to a hotel, you can provide the address and locality of the hotel from your hotel confirmation. After paying the pre-paid amount, collect the receipt, exit the airport, and follow signs to the taxi service you have rented. Often, the pre-paid receipt mentions the licence plate of the specific taxi assigned to you. The taxi ride from the airport to IIT Bombay will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions.

Transportation from the railway station
If you are arriving by train, you can take a taxi or an auto-rickshaw to IIT at Powai.

Security at the IIT gate
You may be asked to present an identification document with your photograph (passport / identity card issued by your organization / driving licence etc.) at the Main Gate, while entering the campus. If you are carrying a laptop, you need to obtain a temporary gate pass as part of IIT Bombay security regulations.

From Hotel to IIT Bombay
If you are accommodated in a hotel, the organizing committee would let you know about the details. Your hotel is likely to be 1-2kms from IIT Bombay campus and the nearest gate would be the lake side gate.
