Siddhartha P. Duttagupta obtained his B.Tech.
from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1991 and
the Ph.D. from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York
in 1998. He taught at Boise State University from 1997-2002,
before moving to the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay
in 2002, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. Dr. Duttagupta's
research interests are in the area of microsytems and microfabrication.
He has worked on the growth and characterization of thin films
for amorphous silicon-organic flexible solar cells and silicon-polymer
hybrid devices for contaminant sensors. He has published and
presented over 32 papers in these areas, and acted as a referee
for leading international journals. Dr. Duttagupta has been
involved with many sponsored projects from agencies based in
the USA. He secured approximately 1 million USD in grants and
contracts in the period 1999-2002. He is a member of the Materials
Research Society and the SPIE.
