Title: Standards-driven Research

Brochure: Standards-driven Research

Date: 24 May, 2022

Abstract: Indian Academic Institutes and Technology Startups are playing a significant role in driving research, innovation, and IP creation in the digital technologies space, ranging from IoT/M2M, AIML, Cloud to 5G.6G and beyond that are appropriate to India marker requirements. There is a need to channel these activities for incorporation into global standards so as to enable similar regions to benefit from the innovations and also offer a global platform for commercializing the same.

Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) has been promoting the concept of “Standards Driven Research” in order to steer the research in our technology institutes in areas that can contribute directly to development of standards in National and Global forums.

The 2nd SDR@NCC - Workshop on “Standards Driven Research” is being hosted by TSDSI under the aegis of NCC 2022 with the goal of engaging with academia and research community to discuss topics that can be candidates for standards development. It will also identify challenges faced by academicians in doing standards driven research and make recommendations for addressing the same.

Schedule: 24 May 2022, 1000 to 1700 IST.

Venue: Online

Workshop Co-Chairs: Prof Sachin Chaudhari (IIIT Hyderabad) & Prof Vireshwar Kumar (IIT Delhi).
