Reliability Engineering

The Reliability Engineering (RE) at IIT Bombay was set up in
1988. The faculties from various departments contribute to the reasearch
and academic activities in the department. The Reliability engineering
offers M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees. Every year the department admits about
12 M.Tech. and Ph.D. students from various backgrounds of all the
Engineering deciplines. This unique feature of having students from
different disciplines is suited to the interdisciplinary nature of
Reliability Engineering and promotes interaction between students.The
course structure is flexible at the same time has core courses which will
emphasize on cross complementary skills which are a must in an
interdisciplinary department.
