About us
The Applied Integrated Micro Systems (AIMS) Lab and Cyber Physical (CY-PHY) Systems Lab were established by Prof. Siddharth Tallur in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay in the years 2016 and 2023, respectively.
Current research
Our current research primarily focuses on the development of sensors and smart systems, and understanding and exploiting various interdisciplinary phenomena for developing novel sensing mechanisms. Application areas of interest are structural health monitoring and biosensing.
Nascent areas of research
Some new areas of research initiated by us, based on our expertise in developing smart systems, include biomedical electronics for high throughput deep-learning based neural signal processing, autonomous and intelligent robotic systems for infrastructure monitoring and maintenance. We are open to new opportunities where we can leverage our expertise to collaboratively create impactful solutions to a wide variety of problems.

Mission and vision
Our vision is to consistently push the envelope in innovative instrumentation for impactful measurements. Our mission lies in integrating multiple technologies to realize hybrid integrated microsystems, and studying their underlying physics. Our goal is to leverage such platforms for high resolution sensing applications. We also firmly believe in translating our research into products and undertake instrumentation and system level integration.
