Our group works on applied research in various domains, and many of our projects result in creation of high TRL prototypes and IP.

Nirixense is a smart sensor systems company born from our group’s research in structural health monitoring (SHM) and non-destructive testing (NDT). Severe structural issues caused by corrosion and construction deficiencies often lead to catastrophic failures early in a structure’s life, compounded by a lack of quality data, awareness, and affordable inspection methods. Nirixense offers intuitive, cost-effective SHM and NDT solutions, providing easily accessible high-quality data and enabling timely interventions.
