The Electrical Machines Lab at IIT Bombay has been an invaluable and transformative experience for me. I have found it to be a significant contribution to my career. The lab offers a unique platform for developing critical thinking, teamwork, and people management skills. Working with state-of-the-art lab machines i.e. BLDC, PMSM motor etc. and their control provides hands-on experience that is beneficial throughout my career. The opportunity for mutual learning with other Lab RAs and collaborating on projects further enriches the experience. Being able to access the lab and lab equipment at any time helps in your course as well as Mtech project. Guidance and mentorship provided by prof. BGF and Prof. Sandeep Anand are invaluable, offering valuable support and advice. Additionally, being a Research Assistant (RA) in the lab provides ample time to explore one's area of interest and choose a Master's (M.Tech) project of choice, leading to better placement opportunities compared to being a Teaching Assistant in the Mtech.
