About Workshop

The aim of this workshop is to bring together leading researchers in the country in network science in its broadest sense, encompassing communication networks, biological networks, social networks, etc., as well as allied areas of inference, optimization and control that have a strong bearing on it. The hope is not only to learn about the cutting edge research of the individual researchers, but also to foster exchange and cross-fertilization of ideas, possibly leading to long term collaborations.

The occasion is the visit of Prof. Bruce Hajek, the Leonard C. and Mary Lou Hoeft Endowed Chair Professor of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, who is also the Prof. N. R. Kamath Chair Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, and is a leading researcher in this area.
