Terms and Conditions - "Geet Gaata Chal ... Sitaron Ke Sang"

The "Geet Gaata Chal ..." contest (hereinafter referred to as Program) brought to you by the Digital Audio Processing Lab, IIT Bombay ("Promoters").

The program is open to all people who have a valid IIT Bombay identity card. Being a resident of India and above 18 years of age ("Participant").

The term of the program shall be 5th March 2011 till 16th April 2011 ("term").

To be eligible for the Program, a Participant is required to call into a fixed phone number (022-25720116) and sing-along with the playback of the original song.

A Participant can call any of the above number and record their singing multiple times.

Participants are then required to login to the website- www.SingingGuru.in - and listen to their recording.

The participants will ensure that the songs recorded/sung are in no manner obscene or defamatory or in contravention to the terms and conditions enlisted on the website. Songs uploaded by the Participants which are in violation of these terms shall be deleted by the Promoters without any notification. Disputes regarding the Program shall not be entertained by the Promoters in any manner whatsoever. The Participants will also ensure that the songs sung by them should not cause copyright infringement of any third parties and agree to indemnify the Promoters against the same.

At the end of the term of the program, the top-scores of individual participants for particular songs will be compared.

Those singers with the top 10 cumulative scores for two song will be judged by the Promoters and the top singers will be selected as the winners for that week. The Promoters shall have their own set parameters like quality, performance, etc. basis which they shall choose the Winners.

Decision of the Promoters shall be final and binding.

The male and female winners for each week will be notified via SMS on the subsequent week. They will then be asked to personally collect their prizes from the Digital Audio Processing Lab, IIT Bombay.

At the time of prize collection, the winners will be asked to submit documentation such as ID and proof of IITB. The winners will also be asked to record their singing live in the presence of the promoters as ID-proof.

With the winner's consent, the promoters will display the winner's singing recordings and photos prominently on the website.

Prizes are in the form of Pizza Hut gift cards worth Rs 500/- and will be limited to 1 per winner per week.

The Digital Audio Processing Lab reserves the right to use the participant's recordings for research purposes.

Disputes regarding the Program shall not be entertained by the Promoters whatsoever.

The Promoters shall reserve the right to use all data, material etc. received as part of this Program as it may deem fit for its future promotions.

In no event will the prize be transferred to any other person.

The Promoters are neither responsible for any warranty nor guarantees quality of the prizes being given nor is it liable if the same are in any way
defective or deficient. The Promoters make no warranties or representations either expressed or implied with regard to the type, quality or fitness of the prizes provided under this Program.

The Promoters reserve the right to amend the rules of the Program or extend the period or cancel or discontinue the Program or any part thereof
without giving any reasons or prior notice.

The Promoters reserves the right to change the prize due to circumstances beyond our control or to offer an alternative of similar value.

No correspondence shall be entertained with regard to the Program.

Members of the Digital Audio Processing Lab, IIT Bombay will not be eligible to participate in the
Program.

The Program will continue to be governed by the terms and condition of the site.
