Quantitative Measurement of Tremor Levels in Parkinson patients
Our work presents one of the methods to analyze the severity of Parkinson’s diseases using digital signal processing techniques. We were able to show how data acquired from a Haptic machine helps in diagnosing and classifying a Parkinson patient according to the severity of the hand tremors. With our method, doctors diagnosing Parkinson patient would be able to quantitatively measure the tremor levels and administer medicines accordingly and can track the progress of the patient after taking the medication.Doctors can adjust medications accordingly when they come back for checkups rather than relying on just visual cues for tremor levels.
