The undergraduate and postgraduate students are given exposure to finite element (FE) computations of practical machine design problems. The students are encouraged to develop their own FE codes in basic languages, viz. C, C++, MATLAB®. The codes are, then, validated by using standard FE packages. The design pecularities of electrical machines are focussed during the learning of Computational Electromagnetics.
