Third International Conference on Nanotechnology for Biological and Biomedical Applications (Nano-Bio-Med 2015) is organized at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Bombay), Mumbai, India from 01 to 04 December 2015. This event is being arranged in cooperation with Office of External Affairs, International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy, which is also providing partial support. ICTP is a highly reputed Centre founded in 1964 by Dr. Abdus Salam (Nobel Laureate). This conference is the sequel of two earlier popular events Nano-Bio-Med-2011 and Nano-Bio-Med-2013, which were held at ICTP, Trieste, Italy. This event will be unique in many aspects. Along with Nanotechnology and Biomedicine related topics, the conference will also offer a tour of the IIT Bombay Nano-Fabrication Facility & the Centre of Excellence in Nanoelectronics facilities. There will be a dedicated special session by Medical Doctors, who will express challenges in their professional domains, which can drive focused research of nano-biotechnologists. There will also be a targeted session on Biosensors for Agricultural Applications in Developing Countries. The conference will have tutorial sessions, plenary sessions, invited talks and contributed papers on focus areas listed below. The students will have an opportunity to present their work to an international panel of experts and get feedback on their research ideas/results. This conference will provide a very valuable experience for all the participants from developing countries.

The topics include:

  • Nanomaterials: Synthesis and applications in biomedicine
  • Nanomaterials in biosensing
  • Nanomedicine and drug delivery
  • Nanotechnology in medical diagnostics
  • Bio-imaging
  • BioMEMS, BioNEMS
  • Nano-Biotechnologies for Agricultural Applications
