Network Facilities
The following facilities are provided by the department to all users:
- Department email on the
ee.iitb.ac.indomain - Central storage facility: 500 MB is given to all students
- Personal home page on an Apache web server, with CGI and PHP.

General Computing Facilities
PC Lab provides general computing facilities to students of Electrical Engineering. Both Windows and Linux machines are present in the lab.
To run your own programs (written in C, for example), you can use the PC Lab Linux machines. These have addresses of the form 10.107.32.x.
New Servers for using Matlab
We now have two computation servers (Ravan and Rudra) for users who wish to run Matlab simulations. The procedure for using them is given below:

Remote login to
10.107.1.5/6using :ssh –X loginname@10.107.1.5orssh –X loginname@10.107.1.6 -
Authenticate using your password.

Run command
matlab
If Matlab doesn’t start up. Please run firefox first and login to matlab.iitb.ac.in with your Institute LDAP credentials.
Note: Your files will be preserved across all the servers and you can use any of them incase you feel one of them is running slow.

GitLab Server
We have a GitLab Server accessible through git.ee.iitb.ac.in, and EE credentials. GitLab is a free hosting for private git repositories.
Instructions for Thesis Submission
Note: Thesis must have your signature and of all Examiners

Login to
10.107.2.53using your EE or Institute LDAP ID and Password. -
Select
Create Contentin the Left MENU. -
Select
Thesis Entry. -
Select
ThesisinPublication Type. -
Fill up all the Required details, Read all the guidelines given beloweach field carefully and then fillup details carefully.

In the File Attachments, Upload your report in PDF format. Name of the File must be “Roll-Number.pdf”, and the file size should be less than 13MB.
Tips: Google about compressing pdf file if limit exceeds.
- Fill up all details and then click Submit.
