"Techfest" is the annual technical festival of IIT Bombay, organised fully by students, to promote technology, scientific thinking, and innovation. It is Asia's largest Science and Technology festival and attracts over 50,000 participants from over 2000 colleges across the country.

The Wadhwani Electronics Lab plays an important supporting role in Techfest organisation by lab components and facilities to students to construct, test, and demonstrate their projects. Also, some of the competitions are held in the Wadhwani Lab. The lab also provides useful training sessions to IIT students who wish to paticipate in Techfest competitions.
