Features of IQ Modulator board
- IQ modulator board designed and developed in WEL is used for
up-converting a complex baseband signal to a passband IF
(intermediate frequency) or RF (radio frequency) signal in few
GHz range
- In a similar way, an IQ demodulator (commercial RTL-SDR dongle)
is used for down-converting a passband RF or IF signal to the
complex baseband signal. The system is connected to USB port of
the computer/laptop and further processed using GNU Radio
(open source software)
- Open source GNU Radio environment is used to build the
communication blocks for transmission and signal reception on
computer/laptop
