Workshops

Teacher Training

WEL also conducts teacher training workshops for various practical courses. More than 30 workshops have been conducted for 2,500+ college teachers through WEL. WEL also provided mentorship, kits and staff support to new IITs (IIT-GN, IIT-I, IIT-DH, IIT-Goa) for setting up electronics lab infrastructure. Kits developed in WEL have also been provided to IIT-H, IIT-D, IIIT-B and IIT-G. WEL has also supported faculty training through QIP and SMDP-IEP programs. WEL also enables colleges to establish electronics lab courses through support for curriculum and hardware.

Community Outreach

WEL periodically conducts outreach workshops for school students and visiting students at IIT Bombay. WEL staff also conduct vocational training for non-teaching lab staff to advance their career development.

Video resources based on experiments and projects designed at WEL are also shared widely through WEL YouTube and LinkedIn pages. The resources are freely available on the internet to aid students and innovators in their projects.

NPTEL Workshop - 2024

The aim of NPTEL Awareness Workshops is to create maximum awareness among faculty members about NPTEL and its various initiatives. The workshop will include sessions on NPTEL and its features, NPTEL Online Certification courses and the concept of NPTEL Local Chapter.
NPTEL and the host Institute will jointly organize the workshop. The host college will invite 2-3 faculty members from colleges (both Engineering Institutions and Arts and Science colleges) that are within a radius of 150 km.

NPTEL Workshop - 2022

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. The objective of the project is:
To develop entire undergraduate engineering curriculum in a classroom lecture mode in five major disciplines, namely, civil engineering, computer science engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, and mechanical engineering.
To develop courses in basic sciences and mathematics.

NPTEL Workshop - 2021
