EE619 -RF Microelectronics Chip Design:

The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive insight on fundamental Radio Frequency transceiver design along with exposure to latest design practices used in RF circuit design. Basic methods and techniques for RF CMOS circuit design and analysis will be discussed throughout the course. The homeworks and course-projects in the course are designed to help students to acquire a hands-on design experience on some of the key elements of RF CMOS transceiver.

Course contents:

S-parameters & RLC circuits, Impedance Matching, Distortion, Passive RF Elements, Inductor Design, Noise analysis, Sensitivity & SFDR, Two port Noise, Low Noise Amplifiers, Mixers, Voltage Controlled Oscillators, Phase Locked Loops, Power Amplifiers, Transmitters & Receivers.
