• B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 1984.
• M. S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) in 1986.
• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) in 1991.

• During the period 1992-1996, I worked in the Semiconductor Engineering Group at the Digital Equipment Corporation in Hudson, MA, where he was a Principal Engineer.
• From 1996 to date, I have been an Associate and later full Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay.
• I am a co-founder of Powai Labs Technologies, a company which had its origins in the incubation centre at IIT Bombay.
