Prof. Sandip Mondal

Professor Sandip Mondal is an assistant professor with the Electrical Engineering department at IIT Bombay. Previously, Prof. Sandip worked as a Research Fellow on a NASA-sponsored project at Purdue University, USA. Dr. Sandip received his PhD in Physics from the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, India.

His current research interests lie in the areas of Neuromorphic Engineering for Artificial Intelligence, Materials & devices for brain-inspired computing, Flash memory technology (Floating gate, SONOS, Charge trapping materials), Flexible electronics using cost-effective solution-processed semiconductors and dielectrics, High-k gate dielectrics, Deep level and interface trap characterization, electronic transport, Ultra-High-speed Capacitance Voltage Measurement System and Technology (uHSCV), Integrated circuits and system design with emerging CMOS devices, Quantum Technologies with Quantum Dots (QDs) and Nanoparticles (NPs) based devices.

Dr. Vishwas Acharya

Dr. Vishwas Acharya has completed his B.tech (2009-2013) in Ceramic Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University and received his M.Tech (2013-2015) and Ph.D. (2015-2022) degrees in Materials science from the School of Materials Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, India. He is presently working as an institute postdoctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Powai, Mumbai, India.

His Research interest is in Solution processed thin film devices. His current research interest include Flexible heterogeneously integrated wireless multi-channel surface physiological devices.


Dr. Moumita Indra

Moumita Indra did her graduation degree (B.Sc. Honours in Physics) in 2014 from Santipur College. She completed her M.Sc in Physics from Kalyani University in 2016. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in February, 2022 from IIEST Shibpur (Howrah, West Bengal) under Prof. Dwipesh Majumder. Her Ph.D. topic was fractional quantum Hall effect. She joined IIT Bombay as an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow (IPDF) on 26th December, 2022. Currently she is working under Prof. Sandip Mondal in Electrical Engineering Department. Mainly, she is focused to study the Quantum Light-Emitting Diodes (QLEDS). Apart from the lab works, she loves listening music and watching thriller series.

Her research interests mainly lie in areas such as Many-Body quantum theory, Strongly correlated systems such as Fractional QuantumHall Effect, Bose-Einstein Condensation, Quantum Dot based memory devices.

Atul Sachan

Atul Sachan has completed his B.Tech (2014-2018) in Electronic and Communication Engineering from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar pradesh and received his M.Tech (2020-2022) in Communication and Signal Processing from National Institute of Technology, Silchar, Assam, India. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Solid state devices at IIT Bombay.

His prior research interest is on Device to device communication in a 5G millimeterWave based cellular network. He is currently working on fabrication and simulation of Flexible 2D NAND flash memory.


Nitupon Dihingia

Nitupon has completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Calicut and received his M.Tech in Cryogenic Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Solid state devices at IIT Bombay.

His research interest lies in Solid State Devices (RRAM, MOSCap, MOSFET), In-Memory Computing, ANN, CNN, RNN-LSTM, Spintronics, Vacuum Technology, Superconductivity, Cryogenics, Mechanical.


Himanshu Marothya

Himanshu Marothya has completed his B.Sc (2017-2020) in Electronic Sciences from Rajdhani College, University of Delhi, and received his M.Sc (2020-2022) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He is presently working as a Ph.D. Scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Powai, Mumbai, India.

His research interest is the fabrication and simulation of Two Terminal Memory Devices, 2D and 3D NAND Flash Memories, and Device level TCAD Simulations.


Dharmendra Kumar Singh

Dharmendra Kumar Singh has completed his B.Tech (2010-2014) in Electronics Engineering from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University (U.P.T.U Lucknow), Uttar pradesh and received his M.Tech (2015-2017) in Solid State Electronic Materials from IIT Roorkee India. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Solid state devices at IIT Bombay.

His prior research interest is on Signal Mixer using high electron mobility transistor (HEMT). He is currently working on Data Security using 3D NAND Flash memory.

Asifa Khatun has completed her B.Tech (2017-2021) in Electronic and Communication Engineering from North Eastern Regional Institute of science and technology (Nirjuli Arunachal pradesh), and received her M.Tech (2021-2023) in Electronic design and technology from Tezpur University, Tezpur Assam, India. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Solid state devices at IIT Bombay.

Her prior research interest is on Neuromorphic Computing using 3D NAND Flash Memory.
