Fiber optics and Optical Networks

Research is being carried out on Generalized Scattering Matrix (GSM) treatment of optical structures. The GSM technique can serve as a powerful tool in analysis of various cascaded optical structures, especially multimode optical fibers. GSM analysis of tapered waveguides, fiber bragg Significant work is also going on in the field of Optical networking. Simulation of IP over ATM over SONET Layered Architecture has been done. Computational research is being carried out on emerging technologies in ATM over SONET.

Research is also being pursued on RF power and delivery system for driving Linear Accelerators. Research is also being carried out in the area of RADAR systems.
