The VLSI
Design Laboratory has several PCs and SUN workstations
running VTI (including Compass) tools for deep sub-micron
digital design, MAGIC tools, ALLIANCE tools, Cadence, Mentor,
Synopsys, Tanner, Xilinx, plus many public domain tools. Many
design tools developed at IIT Bombay, such as a circuit
simulator, a timing simulator and a circuit partitioner are
also available and are used regularly by students. The Intel
Microelectronics laboratory is also used for VLSI design
activities.
