      Anshuman Shukla received the M.Tech, and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur, Kanpur, India, in 2003 and 2008, respectively.

      From 2008 to 2011, he was a Scientist with ABB Corporate Research Center, Västerás, Sweden. In 2008, he was a Research Associate with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC, USA, In 2011, he joined IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India, where he is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering. He does research in the areas of multilevel converters, power electronics for HVdc and FACTS applications, application of silicon carbide (SiC) power electronics, electric vehicles, interface with renewable energy distributed energy sources, microgrids, solid-state transformers, hybrid and solid-state circuit breakers and MV drives.

      Dr. Shukla is a recipient of the 2021 Technology Translation Award conferred by SERB, Government of India, the 2011 Young Engineer Award conferred by the Institution of Engineers, India, and the MeiTy Visveswaraya Young Faculty Research Fellowship.

      He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics.
