Electric Machine Drives

The development of high-power medium voltage variable speed drives is an inevitable research area to meet the ever-increasing industrial production levels, economic and zero carbon footprint. We PEARL research group especially work towards finding optimal power electronic converters for medium voltage drive applications to enhance their performance, reliability and power density.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure

The study of grid integration analyses the framework for evaluating a power system with high penetration levels of power electronics coupled renewable energy sources (RES). These renewables are integrated to power grid through power electronics converters in both Grid following (GFL) mode and grid forming (GFM) mode.
