Image processing is a highly mathematical subject requiring a strong background in signal processing. For students, it is often difficult to comprehend the implications of image processing algorithms for a real image. As a part of e-Prayog, several animations have been developed to illustrate the basic concepts involved in image processing. The experiments are designed using opn-source platforms (like Scilab) which can be freely downloaded and installed at the user's end.
