Signal Processing
Experiments in the area are designed to provide a step-by-step understanding of various concepts encountered in an undergraduate course on signal processing. Basic concepts like shifting, folding, convolution are explaned with the help of animations. Implementation of a DSP filter is explained with the help an on-line tutorial. A facility is provided for the user to actually implement a DSP filter on a DSP processor and view the results. The user's code is executed physically on a DSP card in the Wadhwani lab, the results are stored using a digital oscilloscope and are sent to the user for viewing. At the user's end the filter output appears as it does in a real oscilloscope, thus giving a feel of the actual lab procedure.
