Distributed Control with Applications (Spring 2013):
Course Notes
Sponsored Projects/Grants
ISRO: (jointly with Prof. Madhu Belur). Title: Hybrid Control and Fault Detection during re-entry of Reusable Launch Vehicles, 2009-2012: This project considers the problem of controlling a Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) during re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere. The objective is to find a systematic solution to the interdependent problems of designing a control law, detecting the set of functioning control effectors at any instant, and allocating the required control torque to these effectors in a reconfigurable manner.
Department of Science and Technology: (jointly with Prof. Subhananda Chakrabarti) Title: CONTROL AND OPTIMIZATION OF PULSED LASER DEPOSITION TECHNIQUE FOR GROWTH OF ZnO BASED MATERIALS AND DEVICES, 2009-2012: The problem of modeling and control of the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) process for growth of p-doped ZnO based materials is considered. The principal objectives are to develop and experimentally verify an analytical/numerical model for the PLD process, which will then be used to identify, predict and optimally control the various critical parameters in an experimental setup.
Royal Academy of Engineering, UK(Research Exchanges with China and India): (jointly with Dr. Balarko Chaudhuri, Imperial College London) Title: Wide-area Damping Control With Limited Data Feedback
